A Dave Chappelle & Charlie Murphy Tour Possibly On The Horizon!
We just discovered from our sources that there are several conversations between Dave Chappelle and Charlie Murphy to create a possible comedy tour to launch this fall at the earliest.
Our sources have stated to us that both Chappelle and Murphy are having serious discussions about the possible date to launch the tour as both are currently touring. These stories have surfaced because Murphy was captured on stage in Canada talking to Chappelle live via Facetime with Chappelle (Chappelle called Murphy while he was performing and to everyone’s surprise Murphy answered the phone- again, while on stage) sparking his interest even more on the tour.
Since that video and story was captured, the possibility of the tour has gained even more momentum. The only problem is working out the time for the tour for each comic.
In Murphy’s camp we hear that he is currently ramping up a tour from August 6th through September 23rd with plans to film in September. The potential name of the taping for the DVD may be titled The Charlie Murphy Acid Trip Comedy Tour- Live In Guantanamo Bay, as that’s where they will be filming. Since Murphy is a military veteran, we hear that he will be touring military bases and has dedicated the taping to them.
In Chappelle’s camp- which is more undecided- we hear that there is no set date to be locked in to anything but Chappelle is extremely interested in this possible tour and wants to make it happen when Murphy is done with his tour.
As you can see, this story is still developing. Stay tuned!
