Comedian Russell Peters Joins New Romantic Comedy Film New Year’s Eve!

Comedy News

We just discovered that comedian Russell Peters has joined the cast of the new film New Year’s Eve!

In case you haven’t heard, New Year’s Eve is an upcoming romantic comedy film directed by Garry Marshall and was originally intended as the sequel to the 2010 film, Valentine’s Day, but on December 8, 2010 it was revealed that the film would not be a sequel to Valentine’s Day and that Jessica Biel and Ashton Kutcher would play different characters than they did in the original.

The film is scheduled for release on December 9, 2011.

The film will also feature an ensemble cast, starring Katherine Heigl, Robert DeNiro, Hilary Swank, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sienna Miller, and Jon Bon Jovi.

This film did star actress Halle Berry as one of the leads, but up until a few days ago she pulled out of the film because word has it that Berry has jumped into a nasty custody battle over her daughter with her ex Gabriel Aubry.
