The Laff Mobb Preps New National Comedy Tour!

Today we received a press release about the new Laff Mobb Comedy Tour featuring comedic favorites Red Grant, Rudy Rush, Roz G and Mark Viera, and Alex Scott who, it appears will all be on the tour. If you happened to catch the Showtime Specials, then you already know what to expect! Here is the press release;

Fresh off of their hit television standup comedy series “LAFF MOBB Presents” on Showtime, LAFF MOBB brings the hottest names in comedy to a city near you.  The show features the  hilarious all-star comedy from national headliners Red Grant, Rudy Rush, Roz G and Mark Viera,, with Alex Scott in select cities.

Bob Sumner, the original producer and architect of HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, produces Laff Mobb along with longtime manager and producer, Arthur Spivak (Paul Reiser, Tori Amos, A Perfect Circle, Bruce Bruce).  Having discovered such comedic icons as Dave Chappelle, DL Hughley, Mike Epps, Bernie Mac and many other comedy icons, Sumner believes he has found the next lineup of comedy superstars, saying about the Laff Mobb: “I’m really excited to introduce the best of the next generation of Comedy All Stars.”

Red Grant:

Red recently served as host of The Pimp Chronicles II Tour starring Katt Williams, and stars in his own Showtime special as part of the Laff Mobb Presents series “Caught Red Handed”.

Rudy Rush:

Rudy Rush, was best known for hosting “Showtime At The Apollo” and currently stars in his own Laff Mobb Presents special for Showtime “From Harlem to Hollywood.” Rudy has starred in his self titled special on Comedy Central, and is the co-host on the nationally syndicated radio program, Afternoons with Doug and Dede.

Roz G:

Roz G blazed into national prominence as a wildly popular finalist on NBC’s hit reality competition “Last Comic Standing” and numerous TV appearances. With “I Ain’t Got Jokes…I Got Problems” as her true-to-life tag line, Roz is currently starring in her own Laff Mobb special for Showtime.

Mark Viera:

Mark takes his audience on a hilarious, heartfelt journey, finding enjoyment in the absurdities of life.  Mark stars in his own hour special for Showtime’s Laff Mobb Presents: “Tales of a Nuyorican.”  He also appears on “Martin Lawrence Presents  1st Amendment Stand Up.”

Alex Scott:

The first time Alex Scott ever touched the mic, he won second place in the DC Comedian of the Year contest.  Since then, Scott, has performed at some of the hottest comedy clubs, and appeared on BET’s Comic View.
